Hoya obovata is grown for its thick, glossy, rounded leaves (often flecked with silver) and, once established, its clusters of star-shaped, fragrant, waxy blooms. Hoyas are long-lived, easygoing plants that reward patience with spectacular flowers.
Give it bright, indirect light and let the soil dry out between waterings — like a semi-succulent, it stores water in its leaves and dislikes staying wet. Don’t remove the flower spurs, as it reblooms from them. Non-toxic and pet-safe.
